If you haven’t had a movie night with your BFFs where you all sit there and laugh hysterically at Booksmart, what are you even doing with your life? It’s definitely in my top ten films of 2019, and a lot of that is due to the part my queen Beanie Feldstein plays. Not only is the actress nominated for her role in the film, but Beanie Feldstein’s 2020 Golden Globes look is worthy of its own award.

Dressed in an absolutely stunning navy gown, Feldstein strutted the red carpet. The dress actually reminds me of what I wore to prom junior year of high school, but elevated a million times over. The bodice was perfectly beaded with gorgeous sequins, and the color was absolutely *chef’s kiss.* The last time Beanie Feldstein was on the Golden Globes red carpet was many moons ago accompanying her brother, Jonah Hill. For the 2020 Golden Globes, the actress held her damn own, and I couldn’t be happier with this classic look.

Rob Latour/Shutterstock.

Sticking to the navy theme, Beanie Feldstein donned the navy Twist Headband from BaubleBar (We love a hair accessory!) and navy earrings. It was the sparkly monochromatic look of my dreams. I truly wish 17-year-old me headed to prom could have seen this beautiful ensemble before she walked out the door. At least nowadays I have Beanie Feldstein’s red carpet looks for all my fashion inspiration.

While Beanie Feldstein could totally be nominated for her outfit alone, the actress is up for Best Performance by An Actress in a Comedy or Musical Motion Picture. Her work in Booksmart is funny, smart and totally relatable, and she is definitely worthy of this award. This may be Beanie Feldstein’s first Golden Globe nomination, but I have a very strong feeling it won’t be her last. I cannot way to see what the actress does in 2020.

You’re lying if you don’t say your favorite character in Crazy Rich Asians wasn’t Goh Peik Lin played by Awkwafina, or that you didn’t cry during her powerful performance in The Farewell. The actress is ridiculously talented (and oftentimes hilarious) in whatever role she plays, but, in case you don’t follow her on Instagram, the girl also knows how to freakin’ dress. That’s why I was so excited to see Awkwafina’s 2020 Golden Globes look. It was the actress and rapper’s first time walking the Golden Globes red carpet, and, I have to say, she killed it.

Awkafina stunned us all wearing a Dior tuxedo while posing for photographers and may have singlehandedly brought back the ruffled Victorian collar. The actress always blesses us with unexpected red carpet looks, and this chic tuxedo was no different. I wouldn’t be surprised if the rest of 2020 is filled with ruffled collars (Ruffles are on trend for 2020!) and Victorian Era vibes. I’ll wear whatever Awkwafina tells me to, but this look needs no coercion. I’ll happily don a ruffled Victorian collar.

Let us not forget, however, to mention the gorgeous red lipstick and elegant black eyeliner that Awkwafina so skillfully paired with this outfit. I’m seriously swooning over both her beauty look and Dior ensemble. With the addition of a chic clutch, you would never guess this was the actor and rapper’s first time at the Golden Globes. (And it certainly won’t be her last.)

Unlike her debut at the Oscars in 2019, the 2020 Golden Globes brings an actual nomination. Awkwafina is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her role in The FarewellThe Farewell is also nominated for Best Foreign Language Motion Picture. If both Awkwafina and the film win the 2020 Golden Globes, I will be one happy camper.

While there are always things to dislike about winter, there are many more to love: the magic of snow, cozy fires, warm drinks, fuzzy coats. It’s easy to complain about the cold, but when you think about it, wintertime brings with it myriad wonderful moments—and Iskra Lawrence truly embodied all of the best things about winter on Tuesday night. At the premiere of Bad Boys for Life, Iskra Lawrence’s outfit was a dreamy little all-white number, making her look like the ultimate winter goddess.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always had an affinity for winter whites. And while I rarely attempt to pull off the look (I don’t even wear whites in the summer, TBH.), I always appreciate when I see a street style influencer or celebrity boasting whites in the middle of a cold, cold winter. Iskra Lawrence’s latest street style ensemble is the perfect mixture of winter vibes while remaining cozy and festive. Wearing a white deep-V top and sparkly white suiting, the model has come to take my damn breath away (along with the winter winds).

As if being absolutely covered in sequins isn’t enough to land you on the list of most festive winter ensembles ever, Iskra Lawrence took it a step further and donned the chicest clear bag I’ve ever seen. I’m all about a good see-through purse, but I’ve never witnessed one quite as gorgeous as the one the model carried at the premiere. The structured bag featured gold everywhere but the center—where there’s a clear circle showing off the contents of the purse. Lawrence is clearly ready for any touch-ups needed throughout the night, as her bag was filled with beauty products. We love a gal who’s always ready for that close-up.

The model didn’t attend the premiere alone, though. Iskra Lawrence was joined by her boyfriend Phillip Payne for the night. Not only are the couple an absolutely gorgeous pair, but the two are expecting a child together in the upcoming months. That baby is about to be pretty damn beautiful. Plus, Iskra Lawrence’s maternity looks continue to be incredible. I’ll take the model’s street style any time, thanks.

Because most of us sit here still freezing our buns off, we’re not really thinking of incorporating spring garb into our wardrobes just yet. It’s hard to break from the all-black and neutral aesthetic we’ve grown accustomed to in the cold weather, but, according to Elsa Hosk, this is another way. Elsa Hosk’s latest Instagram street style has just proven to us all that you can stay nice and cozy while also giving off the springiest of vibes.

Sure, maybe the model’s look isn’t necessarily perfect for 30 degrees and below, but it’ll do on a chilly day when the snow has yet to hit. Wearing a gorgeous light green matching set and light blue jacket, Elsa Hosk is bringing us all the best parts about spring—in the dead of winter. The green reminds me of picnics in the park, sitting in the soft grass and not worrying about the sun going down at 4 PM. The light blue looks like the perfect spring sky—clear and beautiful. Maybe I’m just longing for some warm weather right now, or maybe that’s just the power of Elsa Hosk’s Tokyo outfit. The world may never know.

Of course, what’s a trip to Tokyo without your pals? Elsa Hosk and other celebs have been traveling Tokyo with Revolve, and all the outfits have been *chef’s kiss.* Hosk even made khakis look sartorially acceptable (and spring-y!), which is a major accomplishment in my book. Paired with a pink collared top and brown jacket, the model once again brought the air of spring into the middle of winter. Applause all around.

It can’t all be pastels and warm vibes, though. Elsa Hosk’s wintry ensemble from the Tokyo trip is definitely not meant for spring, but it’s a stunning look nonetheless. When I grow up, I want to be Elsa Hosk—or at least have her closet.

In her time as a model (and a style icon), Karlie Kloss has worn many, many outfits. So, it only makes sense that she would have discovered the perfect balance between chic, cute and casual—creating the ultimate look. Karlie Kloss’ suit and sneakers street style outfit proves that the model has uncovered the secret to creating this balance, and I am forever changed. Pulling off a suit can be hard on its own, but pulling off a suit with sneakers is even harder (at least for me). Karlie Kloss seems to have unlocked the code, though, showing her cute and casual fashion prowess with an Instagram outfit photo.

Posing in front of a California sunset, Karlie Kloss donned a simple two-piece suit, white tee and and white sneakers. Could it really be that easy? It seems that in all my efforts to figure out how to wear the right combination of boardroom-ready suiting and street style-approved sneakers, I got lost along the way. Well, Karlie Kloss is here to bring me (and all those with similar fashion quandaries) back to the street style promised land with this message: You’re overthinking it. Sometimes the best ensembles are the simplest ones—this suit and sneakers outfit included.

Basically, Karlie Kloss has given us all the ultimate formula to creating the ideal suit and sneakers look. Start simple and work your way up from there. It always helps to start with what you already have. Got a black suit hanging in your closet? Start by pairing it with a simple tee and sneakers you wear all the time. You’ll feel comfortable wearing items you already own, and can work up to playing it a little less safe. Wherever you are on the scale (of simple to maximalist, that is), Karlie Kloss’ street style look has proven that you’ll look great even in the simplest of ensembles.

If there’s one article of clothing my wardrobe must always have, no matter the season, it’s an oversized shirt. It could be a flannel, a button down, a band tee—Whatever it is, the only requirement is that it’s big. And while I thought I was good at pulling off this look, turns out Hailey Bieber’s oversized shirt street style outfit is here to knock me down a few pegs. Bieber seriously knows how to rock an oversized shirt, and I’m taking notes.

Leaving a dance class on Wednesday in Los Angeles, Hailey Bieber wore a simple cropped tank, rolled Champion sweatpants and a very, very cool orange plaid oversized flannel. The shirt hails from designer S.K. Manor, and is actually on sale for $162 right now. (It was originally $405.) So, go ahead and snag this oversized S.K. Manor flannel while you still can. The sunset hues in the shirt are perfect for any time of year—and orange is trending for 2020. It’s a win/win oversized situation.

Look—I know it isn’t necessarily difficult to pull off an oversized shirt look, but Hailey Bieber has it down to a science. Wearing a tank top or bralette under an unbuttoned top creates a cool contrast between the small shirt and the big shirt. And while adding sweatpants was a risky move (I’d usually go with something tighter like leggings or skinny jeans.), it paid off. The addition of the Nike sneakers that actually matched the colors in the oversized shirt plus the red Louis Vuitton bag just tied the whole ensemble together. This is no longer a workout look, but a seriously good street style outfit from Hailey Bieber. Color me impressed.

During all my years of childhood, there were few VHS tapes that got more playtime than my copy of The Little Mermaid. As a young tot (and an adult, TBH) I was utterly fascinated and intrigued by the aesthetic of a life below the sea—the colors, shiny mermaid tale vibes, big musical numbers by fish friends. And Elsa Hosk’s NYFW amfAR Gala outfit was the perfect example of how to bring those dreamy aesthetics into real life (without looking like you’re just a gal who used to be obsessed with Ariel from The Little Mermaid). Achieving an ideal mermaid vibe is difficult, but Elsa Hosk has managed to do it perfectly. Are we even surprised?

While attending the annual amfAR Gala—which supports AIDS research—Elsa Hosk donned the most gorgeous metallic Rick Owens dress. Rick Owens, in case you’re not familiar with the designer, is known for his wild runways. If you’ve ever seen aliens model during a fashion week, it was probably while wearing Rick Owens’ designs. His looks are always edgy and cool, so it comes as no surprise that this metallic and mermaid-y dream of a dress is a Rick Owens piece.

Plus, the metallic gown has pockets, which is more than I can say for the majority of dresses in my closet right now. I think Ariel would totally approve of this dress—and maybe even wear it if she was in her human form in 2020. Elsa Hosk rocking the dress, though, is good enough for me. A modern day mermaid, if you will.

Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock.

Of course, you could also say that this Rick Owens gown has more alien vibes than it does mermaid ones, and I would respect the opinion. On a Rick Owens runway, the dress probably did look much more extra-terrestrial. At the end of the day, it’s all up to interpretation. And isn’t that was fashion is these days, anyway?

I mean, get you a girl who can do it all, y’all. Zendaya’s NYFW Bvlgara x B.Zero1 debut party outfit makes her look like both Romeo and Juliet, and I am actively sweating. The actress always hits the red carpet in genuinely hot ensembles, but this look is next level. Zendaya managed to take the feathery, feminine aspects of Juliet and pair them with the classically masculine vibes of Romeo. Is anyone else suddenly lovesick?

Wearing a stunning Rahul Mishra look straight off the Spring/Summer 2020 Haute Couture runway, Zendaya has left me feeling like I’ve found and lost the love of my life in a span of three days. Everything about this ensemble is so sultry—from the deep, deep v-neck to the long trousers. It all just works, and I have to hand it to Rahul Mishra for designing such an incredible look. (And also thank you to Zendaya for wearing the hell out of it.)

Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock.

In case you wanted more evidence as to the comparison to the Shakespearean classic, I present, for your consideration, film stills from the 1993 classic Romeo + Juliet (starring Claire Danes and Leonardo DiCaprio) next to Zendaya in this incredible outfit. The similarities are uncanny, my friends. My mind is blown. I don’t think I’ll ever get over this. The feathers on Zendaya’s ensemble pair perfectly with the feathered wings Juliet dons at her parents’ costume party. The black trousers (and attitude, TBH) add the perfect amount of Romeo to the look. All together, it creates the perfect melding of femininity and masculinity that is Zendaya.

Of course, let us not forget the details of this look. Zendaya added a statement necklace to the ensemble, which honestly just brings more attention to just how deep that v-neck is. (Sorry not sorry.) The actress also donned a pop of silver eyeshadow in her makeup look, which accentuates everything, and creates an overall dreamy effect. Frankly, I will not soon get over this look.

I’m never one to not make the case for athleisure-wear, and it seems neither is America’s favorite street style maven, Hailey Bieber. The model is consistently gifting us with incredible looks, so it’s a special treat when she wears something that’s ridiculously cute and relatively accessible. Hailey Bieber’s street style outfit from LIVINCOOL is not only the ideal casual monochrome ensemble, but you can get the look for $200. Cozy, comfy and at a price that’s not the same amount as my rent? Um, yes please.

Of course, $200 isn’t necessarily in everyone’s clothing budget—I get that. Each piece in the set is $100, so if you want to cut the cost of Hailey Bieber’s street style look, go for just the cropped sweatshirt or cozy sweatpants. Or, if this month’s budget is causing you to put a halt on on shopping sprees (Been there.), you can just take some inspiration from Bieber’s outfit and recreate it with pieces you already have in your closet. Honestly, the possibilities are endless—but it’s still exciting to see a celebrity wearing something that isn’t the same price as my entire closet put together. (Plus, the ensemble is just cute as hell.)

Bella Hadid may wear some ridiculously good ensembles on the runway, but her street style is arguably just as chic. After an incredibly successful time strutting in both New York Fashion Week and London Fashion Week, the model has moved on to Milan Fashion Week—where she has (once again) become our sartorial queen. Bella Hadid’s Milan Fashion Week 2020 street style has been the perfect mix of trendy and mind-boggling. It’s everything a gal looking for some outfit inspiration could want—and so much more.

I’ve been watching Bella Hadid tear up the Milan Fashion Week runways, but she’s also been tearing up my heart (Was that too cheesy? Get over it.) with these incredible street style ensembles. I rounded up all of her drool-worthy looks (and added some commentary, because who do you think I am?), so you can see just exactly how good these outfits are. I’m not sure what kind of power the Hadid gals have over me (Because we can’t forget Gigi!), but I might actually be into the tiny sunnies trend now. These Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2020 street style looks are too powerful, you guys.

Let me just talk about this argyle sweater, y’all. Typically, when I think of argyle, I think of a grandpa rolling around town with his walker. I do not think supermodel street style. Yet here we are, and Bella Hadid has made an argyle sweater look cooler than I could have ever imagined. With giant gold hoops and ombre brown pants, I’d say this one surprisingly successful look.

Look, I know we already saw part of this ensemble, but it’s always important to take a second look. After all, this time we get to see that the argyle sweater is actually a sweater vest. And frankly, it looks just as good on Bella Hadid without a jacket as it does with one.

Out and About — February 21

What’s a street style round-up without an oversized blazer or two? Bella Hadid stepped out in Milan in what may be my new go-to ensemble. You truly can’t go wrong when you pair a chic graphic tee (In the case of Bella Hadid, a tee with a children’s storybook character? I’m unsure what’s going on here, but I like it.) with a huge blazer. It’s just a classic look, and the statement earrings definitely amp it up.

We love a good quick change. Bella Hadid wore two different outfits today, and this embroidered sweater look is drastically different from her previous oversized blazer outfit. Once again, Hadid seems to be rocking the sweater your grandparents might wear, but she makes it absolutely cool as hell.
